1. MediaBox takes no effect. I am
watching some video. The MediaBox does nothing
Please confirm the following things:
a) If you are using Vista or Windows 7,
please confirm that you have the administrator
privilege.
b) If Vista or Windows 7, the softwares
playing audio/video, such as Internet Explorer,
should also be run as administrator. Please
right click the browser's icon and select "run
as administrator" .
c) If you are using 64-bit OS, please run
the 32-bit version software. Because MediaBox
currently doesn't support 64-bit software. Take
Internet Explorer as an example, you should run
it's 32-bit version, in the startup menu.
Normally, the 32-bit version software will be
installed in C:\Program Files(x86) directory.
d) Because of the technology it used,
MediaBox may conflict with other softwares. Such
as it may be blocked by some security softwares.
Please allow it in the security software. If
MediaBox conflict with other software and you
want to use MediaBox, you should exit that
software or even uninstall it. Meanwhile, some
virus may use similar technology as MediaBox.
And they are usually not considerate. That will
make MediaBox not work or even network problem
of the whole system. In this situation, you
should scan virus first.
e) Again because of the technology
MediaBox used, for some resources that have been
cached by system, the browser will not get them
from the internet. Thus MediaBox will also
ignore them. In this situation, you can clean up
the cache of your browser.
f) Are you using
the Google Chrome? MediaBoxis not very
compatible with Chrome. It cannot analyze the
response packets of the requests sending out by
Chrome. Thus MediaBox cannot sniff out the
resources in case response analysis is needed.
RTMPE is a typical case. I will try to fix this
problem. For the moment, please try other
browsers, such as IE(Internet Explorer).
2. Can MediaBox
run under Vista/Windows 7?
MediaBox supports Windows 2000/XP/Vista/7. And
64-bit OS is also supported. But there are some
limitations under Vista/Windows 7 and 64-bit OS.
Please read the 1st above.
3. Can MediaBox work on my notebook computer which
uses wireless network?
MediaBox
supports all kinds of network forms, including
LAN, ADSL, wireless(WI-FI) etc.
4. Why I detect that there are outgoing
connections to
http://www.hensence.com/ and
http://web.51.la/
on start up of MediaBox
www.hensence.com is the official site of
MediaBox . MediaBox will check updates weekly.
And some ads are added to MediaBox. The ads are
also pulled down from website.
Meanwhile, for statistic
purpose, some packages will be sent to web.51.la
on startup. web.51.la is a public statistic
website. You are guaranteed that this connection
will keep seconds and your privacy will be
preserved.
5. When update
online, I am prompted that NetworkSniffer.dll is
being used by xxx.exe
If you are prompted that some files are being
used by some other programs during update, you
should find these programs and exit them. And
then click the Next button in the update
program. If you cannot find there occupied
programs, such as system processes,
especially NetworkSniffer.dll is used by
Update.exe, you should exit MediaBox first and
exit the Update program either and then select
the Update.exe menu item in the MediaBox startup
menu folder. If you are using the compressed
version of MediaBox instead of installation
version, please run the Update.exe in the root
directory. If NetworkSniffer.dll is still used
by some programs and you still cannot find them
of cannot exit them, you should restart your
computer and run the Update.exe again.
6. When MediaBox
is running, many local media players not work
Please check Main Menu->Have Problems?->Pause
DirectShow Sniffer
